The Gold white cloud is a great addition to any aquarium planted, or unplanted. The gold white cloud has great color contrast displaying gold coloration with red coloration on its fins and tail compared to the darker grey coloration of the normal white cloud minnow. They show schooling behavior in small groups, this behavior is very evident in larger groups of 10 or more.
White cloud mountain minnows are small, colorful fish, once termed “the working man’s neon” because they compared to neon tetras in color but were not as expensive. For over a half-century the white cloud mountain minnow was the only species in the newly defined genus. However, in 2001, two additional species found in Vietnam were recognized; Tanichthys micagemmae and Tanichthys thacbaensis. Of the two, only Tanichthys micagemmae (Vietnamese white cloud) is available in the aquarium trade.

Description
Acclimating fish:
- If received after 24-48 hours, slow drip acclimating fish to quarantine tank.
- If received after 2+ days, equalize water temp by floating bag. Try not to pour bag water into aquarium, drain over net externally and drop fish into quarantine tank.
