The Green Neon Tetra is a beautiful, peaceful species is best maintained in groups of 6 or more fish in a softwater aquarium. Tankmates, if desired, should consist of small fish only, and which are of a similar disposition. Green Neon Tetras appreciate rooted and floating plant cover to help diffuse some of the light. Specimens offered for sale in the trade are almost all wild-caught from their natural blackwater environment which is surrounded by overhanging vegetation from the rainforests, hence the need for dappled light to be provided.

Description
One of our all-time favourite bettas in our fish room. Hardy and adaptable with males exhibiting a deep crimson coloration when mature.
They are paternal mouth brooders with the male taking care of these duties. These particular fish you will receive are bred and raised in our fish room. They accept most dry foods as well as live. We feed primarily dry feed with occasional frozen food.
Acclimating fish:
- If received after 24-48 hours, slow drip acclimating fish to quarantine tank.
- If received after 2+ days, equalize water temp by floating bag. Try not to pour bag water into aquarium, drain over net externally and drop fish into quarantine tank.
