Taxiphyllum sp. Peacock Moss is a relatively new moss that is quickly becoming a favorite among aquascapers. The leaves of Peacock Moss are naturally long and have a tendency to branch out giving that textured appearance. Unlike other mosses, Peacock Moss is a fast grower and can easily fill out a small aquarium if not maintained properly.
Cooler water and CO2 injection speed growth, but not required. Fasten to a piece of driftwood or rock for an excellent foreground or midground aquarium plant.
- If received in a pot, please remove all rock wool from the roots. Where possible we try and ship without pots or rockwool. Due to them being non-biodegradable we prefer to propagate in an environmentally conscious way.
- If received in invitro, rinse all gel off before planting.
- CO2 will generally yield better growth rates.
- Stable water conditions are a must, changes should occur over a period of time in order to reduce chances of melting etc.
